"Hip Hop"

I've always been an OG hip hopper.  I love hip hop!  I love all music, but hip hop started when I was in high school and so I was there from the beginning.  I loved to dance, so the beat is what I feel in my bones!  The culture has been a part of my life for what seems like forever.  It was a must I create this piece.  I wanted to aspire to serious oil painting and felt like this piece was not up to par, but I think collage paintings are maybe more fun! Now that I'm looking at this painting after not seeing it for awhile, I like it alot.

 

 



"Reading"

This painting is titled "reading".  I used an old astrology chart hand written by my Mother and collaged it with an outline of my hand cut from a Edgar Allen Poe book.  I also hand wrote hidden messages in white around the circle, which is hard to see in this image.

I created this painting for practice.  I love the ocean.  Didn't take long to make this one.  Acrylic.
